HAPPY 4TH, AIDAN!

We celebrated Aidan's 4th birthday today, sadly though, without our Mike.  Mike's annual sales conference happens to be in July so we missed him away in Florida.  However, this did not deter us from any fun activities.

Opening presents, sugar cereals, birthday party, presents (Can I say legos?:)  I can tell it's going to be the next obsession), and a late night movie.

With recent Father's Day and Mother's Day, Aidan's been asking, "When is it Kid's Day?"  So... I spoiled the kid, what mother can resist on such a day.  It was great to see the excitement and energy.  I just love that Aidan.

Aidan celebrated a birthday party with 4 of his cute friends (from left to right): Emma, Nathan, Aidan, Jason, and Brayden (who is just barely out of the picture, but you can see him in the swimming pool below).

There was lots of swimming, laughing, running, splashing, swinging, soccer, and cupcakes.  Of course, we kept it simple with that many 4 year olds, and we all had a great time!

We ended the night, after putting Jack to sleep, with any movie of Aidan's choosing.  Any guesses, grandmas?  Yes, it was "The Polar Express".  But, I have to say, it was nice thinking of Santa while it's still warm outside.

Aidan's favorite part of the day: cupcakes and a late movie :)

Thank you all for recognizing Aidan with your gifts and phone calls.  We appreciate them all.
And...  Happy Birthday, Aidan!  We love you!

I'm so glad Aidan had a good birthday! He is such a cute kid. I was thinking about him on the 24th. Up here in Washington he doesn't have to share his birthday with a holiday. That's nice I'm sure.

Owen was obsessed with that Lego invitation. He carried it around the rest of the day, looking at it over and over again.

Poor kid, I was so sad he had to miss it. But it looks like Aidan and Emma still managed to have a great time. :)
