Why do we love St. Valentine's Day?...
- It started February 1st with 14 days of anticipation and excitement. Mike and I would leave small gifts on Aidan's bedside table each night after he was asleep. It was fun to see his reaction every morning... and excitement for bedtime, too! :) Some of HIS favorites this year: "Love" red shirts, Batman markers for art time, Matchbox race cars, fun socks, Tarzan DVD, Bakugan Battle Brawlers (great if you have kids who like to carry around anything small), and lunch with my favorite date at HIS favorite restaurant (this year... mini corn dogs at Wingers).
- Valentine Cards
Aidan learned all about the mail system this week at preschool complete with a field trip to the post office. Miss Teri made a cardboard blue mail box to sit outside the classroom. After their mailboxes were made, Aidan loved getting mail from family and friends each day. Aidan's valentine card (which was mailed) to me and Mike... priceless. On the back he had traced... "I love you Mom and Dad."
-Mail gifts from Grandmas and Grandpas
We are always spoiled with care packages and cards. Candy and toys for the kids... sports magazines and sour skittles for Mike, and Alvey's (only in UT) Cherry Cordials for me.
-Heart shaped pancakes for Valentine brunch to which Aidan had to say, "Oh my goodness, yummy hearts! I love them."
-"Rock Star" party Friday night... and an EARLY dinner with my husband Saturday (Only in Spokane would you have to wait 45 minutes for the Olive Garden at 3 pm... seriously.)

-Preschool Party of musical chairs, dancing, and the making and delivering of Valentine Cards... this year: Spiderman cards, great practice in name writing, and heart shaped York patties (Aidan's favorite candy shared with friends.)
My favorite part... celebrating St. Valentine's with the men of my life. Thank you Mike, Aidan, and Jack... I love you!

You should have worn your Madonna costume to OG and I bet you would of gotten a table faster ;)
Thanks for partying with us. I know Mikey was not up to his normal partyself because of the foot but it was still fun times and next year that foot will be healed so he can truly party.
YOu guys are so fun!!! We used to do all sorts of fun stuff like that... Mike I love you.. I hope your foot heals fast....
I love Valentine's Day! Do you think we'd celebrate it as much if it was in June? Probably not....but it certainly makes February exciting!
The kids just keep getting cuter and cuter. We love you guys so much.

You guys looks so awesome in your 80's outfits. Aidan is so sweet. I'm sorry that we never sent him mail. I promise that I was going to and then life got a little crazy:)
